FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Estonia based Retail FX broker Admirals has hired Sami Hamed as CEO of its Amman-based operation, Admiral Markets Jordan.
We had reported exclusively back in June 2021 that Admirals had set up a subsidiary in Jordan, as part of the company’s long-term strategy, one of the goals of which is to continue expanding in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The investment required to open a new subsidiary was JOD 3,280,000, or just over €4 million. The new operating company is fully regulated by the Jordan Securities Commission. That followed a visit to Amman by Sergei Bogatenkov, CEO of parent company Admiral Markets AS, as part of an official high-level Estonian business delegation to Jordan in September 2019.
Sami Hamed joins Admirals from Noor Al Mal, the Jordan arm of Turkey-based online broker NoorCM Menkul Değerler A.Ş., where he was also CEO. Prior to Noor, Mr. Hamed worked at Golden Royal Index and at Windsor Brokers, two other Arabic-language market focused Retail FX brokers.
