ICE announces passing of longtime Exchange Member James A. Calcagnini

Intercontinental Exchange (IE) today announced the passing of longtime Exchange Member and former New York Board of Trade Director James A. Calcagnini.

He served on a number of committees for ICE Futures U.S. and its predecessor exchanges (NYBOT and CSCE), including the Executive Floor Committee, Membership Committee and Business Conduct Committee.

With great sadness we announce the passing of longtime Exchange Member and former New York Board of Trade Director James A. Calcagnini. James, or “JCAL” as he was known by his peers on the trading floor, also served on a number of committees for ICE Futures U.S. and its predecessor exchanges (NYBOT and CSCE), including the Executive Floor Committee, Membership Committee and Business Conduct Committee. Most notably, JCAL spent many years running the Exchange’s broker training program and is responsible for introducing countless current and former professionals to the futures and options industry.

James passed away peacefully at his home in Darien, CT on December 7, 2021 after a courageous battle against ALS. He is survived by family he adored: his wife DeAnne, his children Addison and Jake, his parents Donald and Joyce, his twin brother Tom, and his sister Elise. Arrangements follow below.
