Stripe acquires app marketplace software provider OpenChannel

San Francisco and Dublin based Stripe, which builds payment infrastructure for the internet, has made its second acquisition of Q4. After buying payment reconciliation firm Recko in October, Stripe announced that it has now acquired Toronto based OpenChannel, a leading provider of app marketplace software.

OpenChannel’s software helps businesses build app ecosystems for third-party developers and users.

As part of the acquisition, OpenChannel’s team will join Stripe’s remote hubs. The team will work on ecosystem integrations for Stripe. OpenChannel will join Stripe engineering, product, and sales teams.
