OANDA Japan restores normal operations of MT4, fxTrade

Clients of online trading company OANDA Japan had a challenging morning, as the company has confirmed that there were issues with logging in fxTrade and MT4.

The problems affected the NY server supporting the platforms. The issues made login impossible from 8:10 to 8:58 today.

However, the broker has managed to restore the normal operations of the platforms. OANDA Japan apologized to its customers for the inconvenience caused.

Earlier this month, the broker has warned that some users have experienced issues when trying to open MT4 and MT5 after the latest update of the platforms. These problems were blamed on the AVAST security software.

OANDA Japan does not seem to experience tech problems often. When it does, it is quite transparent about it (at least when it comes to posting notifications on its website and updating traders on the status of the problems). Earlier this year, the broker confirmed that a problem with the display of three order books on MT4 and fxTrade was detected on March 30, 2021. The normal service was restored in the morning of March 31, 2021, but as of 1:30 pm that day, the problem occurred again.

The department in charge took care of the matter, and earlier on April 1, 2021, OANDA Japan confirmed that the issue is solved and the platforms operate normally.
